Uno Semana

I cannot believe I have a little over a week before I am on a plane to Guatemala! I am super excited! Things are already starting to fall into place as I am trying to get last minute details in order. I have a ticket to get there and back, transportation there, and lists to help me pack. The lists they gave me of helpful hints and things to pack are exactly what I needed. I am thinking this might be a one suitcase trip on the way there but a two suitcase trip on the way back.

I talked Felis, the awesome lady who will be my boss while I am there and she said that rainy season is living up to its name. It is a good thing I like rain!

Oh Yeah!

From the famous rapper Jaicko "...say it in Spanish it's the same Oh Yeah..." and Oh Yeah is how I feel right now. Finals are over! This is one great load of pressure taken off my back. Now I can focus on getting ready for my trip. I can't believe it is only two weeks away! I do have to admit the nerves are starting to kick in. I am super excited for this great adventure but I am getting nervous about how long the trip is. I have never been out of the country, let alone away from home for this long before. I know I will have a great time and it will go by quickly, but there is still that nervousness. All I know is that God has opened this door and this is what I am suppose to be doing.

I am sorry I haven't posted in a while. All I have to say is two words and you will understand... FINALS WEEK. As much as I loathe finals I know they are necessary. All the work I am putting into theses finals will soon be over and some of it will help me while I am at the Eagles Nest. For example I was in a Advanced Spanish Grammar class this semester that many times I thought why am I torturing myself with this class? Is it worth all the struggle? As much as I wanted to quit the course I knew I was suppose to be in that class for a reason.  Now I know the reason I was suppose to be in the class was to be with the people in it with me. It also has helped me with speaking , writing and reading Spanish, but let me tell you, coming to  this point was rough!
